September 29, 2023 — Minneapolis, MN — Neighbors in Ward 6 are making history with an exceptional early voting turnout that has sent ripples of optimism throughout the city, ward - and the Osman Campaign Team!
We are just 39 days away from the election and just five days into Early Voting in Minneapolis - and the early voting results give Team Jamal reason to believe the momentum is behind CM Osman.
Early Voting officially began on Friday, September 22, 2023 - providing all Minneapolis residents with the opportunity to cast their ballots conveniently and participate, on their own schedule, in shaping the future of our great city. Early Voting will remain open to all eligible Minneapolis residents until Monday, November 6th.
From the Campaign HQ in Cedar-Riverside, Jamal made it clear that he thinks the strong turnout is thanks to Ward residents who want to send a clear message, and that's why they are taking the time to cast their vote early.
""Your dedication to this campaign's vision of a better Minneapolis is truly inspiring," CM Osman remarked. "I'm humbled and honored to have such powerful support, and this turnout just proves that."
In the last election in 2021, Jamal secured a resounding 3,722 votes -- representing a remarkable 60% of the vote. As we stand five weeks away from Election Day (Tuesday, November 7th), early indications from the official tabulation indicate that this campaign is on track to reach or exceed those numbers.
However, Council Member Osman remains very cautious, emphasizing that the work is far from over.
""While at this date it looks like we are on track to secure more than 60% of the vote, I want to be clear that our campaign is not going to let up," Jamal stated.
"We cannot rest on our laurels - that's not who we are. We need to remain focused on increasing the turnout even more. Every vote matters, and every voice is crucial in shaping the future of Ward 6 and our great city."
This incredible turnout underscores the depth of trust that the people of Ward 6 have placed in Jamal Osman. They know him, they know who he is (and what he isn't) - they support him, and they have faith in his unwavering commitment to championing them in City Hall.
